Amik scores in Beirut with Mediacaster

AMIK SARL, our Lebanese partner, has used Mediacaster to great effect in their installation for the Banque Libano Française. The in-house channel displays product information as well as live RSS news headlines.
Six sites have been installed so far with thirty more scheduled for completion by year-end. A street-facing daylight viewable screen was also installed at the Beirut branch, in conjunction with local 3M suppliers, 3Gulf Limited. The screen was created using rear projection onto a 3M Vikuity surface mounted on the window and made use of the Mediacaster RS232 communication module to control the projectors’ video inputs.
The feature was tested in a mission critical situation when it was used to automatically switch between the Bank’s internal marketing channel and a satellite feed of the EURO 2008 final. An ecstatic crowd in the street was very happy to see that the switch-over occur right on time !
