What is best practice when compiling content for my digital signage screen?

Answer:
  1. Make sure video media is encoded with industry standard codecs. For more on Codecs click here.
  2. It is advisable to stick to the same format and codec for all your video files. For example, if you have successfully encoded an AVI file with the MPG 2 Codec, then use the same format for your other video clips.
  3. Try to avoid using Windows MWV format. We have found that this format can cause problems in playback on some machines.
  4. When sizing static images for use in a digital display, ensure that the size of the image conforms to the resolution of the display. For example, if you are going to use a full screen static image for the background of a 1360 x 768 resolution screen, make sure the image is 1360 x 768 pixels in size.
  5. If possible, avoid using PowerPoint files and rather use Flash files instead.
