What is best practice when compiling content for my digital signage screen?
Answer:- Make sure video media is encoded with industry standard codecs. For more on Codecs click here.
- It is advisable to stick to the same format and codec for all your video files. For example, if you have successfully encoded an AVI file with the MPG 2 Codec, then use the same format for your other video clips.
- Try to avoid using Windows MWV format. We have found that this format can cause problems in playback on some machines.
- When sizing static images for use in a digital display, ensure that the size of the image conforms to the resolution of the display. For example, if you are going to use a full screen static image for the background of a 1360 x 768 resolution screen, make sure the image is 1360 x 768 pixels in size.
- If possible, avoid using PowerPoint files and rather use Flash files instead.
