Appendix E - Using the Quick Start Assistant

A Quick Start Assistant is available to quickly create a new Client or Group with the following parameters filled semi-automatically:

One channel (with up to four players)

A selection of media in one playlist

The created playlist is automatically scheduled to play immediately and loop indefinitely.

To make use of the Quick Start Assistant click on the  icon in the toolbar. You will be presented with an easy three step process.

Enter your FTP server details of the FTP server you setup earlier, making sure all details are entered accurately. After entering the FTP server details, click the ‘Next’ button. The assistant will test your FTP server. If there is an error it will not proceed to step 2 until you have entered correct FTP details.

Enter the details for the Players (up to four Players).

Select the media clips and the order in which you want them to play as follows:
Click the ‘Select Media’ button and select the media you require. Use the up and down arrows to change the order in which they will play. When you are done, click the ‘Finish’ button to create the new client/group with players, channels, media, playlists and schedules.
